Description

The Sirupate Kukri is one of the most iconic blades of Nepal – known for its slim, leaf-like shape inspired by the siru grass. Unlike the broader kukri designs, the Sirupate has a straighter and narrower 24-inch blade, making it exceptionally effective for fast movements, precise strikes, and light to heavy fieldwork. This design is still favored in modern times by Nepalese and Gurkha Army units for jungle training due to its agility.

This 31-inch full tang kukri is forged by skilled Bishwakarma blacksmiths in Nepal using high-grade 5160 carbon steel (truck spring steel) and tempered traditionally for strength and durability. The handle is crafted from rosewood and securely attached in a tail-tang construction for stability and balance.

The kukri comes with a handmade buffalo leather scabbard lined with cotton and pinewood for durability, along with two small knives:

  • Karda – a sharp utility knife for small cutting tasks.

  • Chakmak – a blunt blade traditionally used for sharpening the kukri.
